Qualmark – New Zealand tourism’s official mark of quality has awarded voco Auckland City Cente a Silver Sustainable Tourism Business Award and a 4 Star Plus hotel grading.

A Silver Award is evidence of a sophisticated hotel that consistently exceeds visitor expectations, through a culture of high performance.

Bedding

100% recycled materials

The filling of our indulgent mattress is made from 100% recycled materials! Estimated equivalent saving/reduction of 150 plastic bottles recycled per voco™ guest room, based on medium weight king duvet and four pillows per room.

Bathrooms

We’ve replaced our travel size amenities with ‘large format’ ones reducing plastic waste by 80%. Enjoy the use of our highly durable eco-friendly rainshower heads – reducing water usage and lowering energy consumption for water heating but still giving you the ‘power shower’ experience!

Plastic

As well as replacing plastic straws with biodegradable ones, we have also swapped out plastic water bottles with large glass bottles in every room and key areas of the hotel like our meeting and event spaces.
