Qualmark – New Zealand tourism’s official mark of quality has awarded voco Auckland City Cente a Gold Sustainable Tourism Business Award and a 4 Star Plus hotel grading.

Amenities

We also find new life for surplus produce — extra or overripe bananas are baked into fresh banana bread for breakfast and transformed into banana biscotti for welcome room amenities, ensuring nothing goes to waste while adding a homely, delicious touch to our guest experience.

Kitchen

Any unused bread is sent to Rescue Kitchen here in Auckland, where it’s milled back into flour and given a second life as fresh pasta at our own Mozzarella & Co. It’s another way we close the loop, turning everyday leftovers into something delicious for our guests.

Cafe

We also share all of our used coffee grounds with neighbouring businesses, where they’re collected and repurposed — from enriching garden soil to becoming ingredients in homemade body scrubs and more. It’s a simple way to make sure nothing goes to waste.
